The Challenge
A highlight is worth something for about an hour. The desk could cut one in minutes and then lose most of that advantage waiting on captions — and commentary is the hardest audio there is. Two voices talk over each other, Marathi and English swap mid-shout, and half the proper nouns are player names no general model has heard.
Getting it wrong in public is worse than being slow. A misspelt player name under a match-winning shot is the thing the replies notice.
Our Strategy
Audio goes up the moment the cut is locked, so transcription runs while the edit is still being coloured rather than after it is finished.
Player and team names are corrected once and stay corrected. Where the commentator's pace runs ahead of the caption, timing is nudged word by word, which matters when the line is a single shouted sentence.
The template is fixed for the channel, so every clip lands in the same look under deadline without anyone making a design decision at eleven at night.

The Results
Captions stopped being the bottleneck.
Highlights now ship in the same hour they are cut, captioned in Devanagari for social and Roman for the team's own channel, with names spelt the way the squad sheet spells them.
