What this template does
Rather than blurring, the shadow is offset by a couple of pixels at full opacity in a darker tone of the accent colour. The emphasised word reads as raised off the frame, which holds up even when the footage behind it is moving.
Use it when
- The clip has a warm or saturated grade the shadow can sit against
- You want retro character without a full display face
- Captions need to survive handheld footage that never settles
Languages it fits
Particularly good in Gurmukhi and Devanagari, where the headline stroke across the top of the letters gives the offset shadow a strong shape to follow.
